Canon discontinued the PG-540XL (21ml ink) and replaced it with the PG-540L (11ml) This occurred
roughly in October 2022
PG-540 = 8ML
PG-540L = 11 Ml
We now do the premium refill on the PG-540XL which has 21ml of ink, this has a new patch on the cartridge that will show ink levels, rarely have any reported issues.
